PROJECT RECOVER Bihar
SETTING CONTEXT
SETTING CONTEXT
At the onset of the pandemic, the state of Bihar had one of the lowest vaccination coverage. While the Government of Bihar deployed successful initiatives that rapidly increased the vaccination uptake, a densely populated state with diverse socio-demographics and difficult geographical layout posed it’s own set of challenges with covering those at the last mile.
The project RECOVER Bihar was conceived to bridge the demand-supply gap and ensure equitable inclusion. RECOVER Bihar is an embedded partnership between Project Concern International (PCI India) and Vihara Innovation Network (VIN), supported by the Packard Foundation. Actively supporting the Government of Bihar’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts by covering the hard-to-reach, marginalised and hesitant populations.
